Rare 1960 Original One Owner 283ci/230hp Roadster-SOLD

This 1960 Ermine white with Red Vinyl interior 283ci/230hp 4-Speed Corvette is truly a rare vehicle having been owned and meticulously maintained by the original owners for 50 years. The car is very original and in excellent condition. The car received a body off restoration in 1987-1988, at which time the chassis was restored and the car was repainted in lacquer. Photos of the restoration show the body to have been in excellent condition before the restoration and really not needing to be repainted; however, since the body was off the chassis, it was felt "why not have the car receive a fresh coat of lacquer paint." Today, the paint looks great and presents as fresh.

The car was acquired by the current owner, who is an award winning collector and restorer, in 2009. After acquiring the car, he replaced the carpets, redid the seats, put on a new soft top, replaced the exhaust, repainted the engine (in the car), and detailed the chassis. The car was judged in October 2010 at the Delaware-Valley Chapter NCRS meet by a team of high ranking national judges where it score 97.2 %.Since the car was judged the owner has addressed virtually all of deductions and today the car would in all likelihood score 98+%. This 1960 Corvette would be an excellent candidate to campaign for the prestigious NCRS Duntov Award of Excellence. The judging sheets are available for inspection.

The car has 98,541miles on the odometer. The engine has never been rebuilt or out of the car, and runs strong. The original owner treated this Corvette exceptionally well and it shows.
