1966 Rally Red 327ci / 300hp 4-Speed Body-Off Restoration--SOLD

The Rally Red with black interior 327ci/300hp 4-Speed coupe being offered for sale here is a highly original Corvette, which received a complete body off restoration in 2002. The car is in absolutely excellent condition. This is a no-hit body car, with its original drive train and a solid restored frame and chassis. With the exception of the replacement windshield, all the window glass is original and properly date coded. The car, with 81,126 miles on the odometer has less then 1,000 miles on the engine since it was rebuilt during the restoration.

This 1966 Rally Red coupe looks great and runs strong. This is a “turn key” Corvette to be proudly driven and thoroughly enjoyed. Taking the car on the road and running it thru the gears is what owning a 1966 Corvette is all about. This is a car built for the person who drives for the sheer excitement of taking a performance vehicle on the road and experiencing the true feel of the road.

The car’s exterior finish and chrome are in excellent condition. The car was repainted in base coat/ clear coat and the paint looks great. The car stands nicely, with all the body panels lining up properly. The gaps between head light doors and the front wrap around, hood and fenders and cowl, and doors and fenders are typical factory production.
 

The car’s interior is in good condition. The dash pad and door panels are original. The seats and carpet look showroom new.

 
The engine area is factory original, with virtually all factory original components in place. The engine block # is 3858174 with a casting date of H205 or August 20, 1965. The assembly stamping is F0831HE or Flint August 31, 1965 327ci/300hp manual transmission.

The car’s underbody is restored and in excellent condition. The frame is rust free, solid, and shows no sign of damage. This is a Corvette which clearly has been driven responsibly, garaged, and well maintained since receiving its body-off restoration.

This is a 1966 Corvette which must be seen in person and test driven to fully appreciate the quality and condition of this vehicle. This is a “no excuse” mid-year Corvette at a very fair asking price.
